BACCALAUREATE

2019 MHS Senior Baccalaureate Announcement

May 2019(date & time TBD***)

at Middletown High School Auditorium

What is a Baccalaureate?

A Baccalaureate is a student-led community gathering of the senior class, their families, and their friends to reflect on their journey and celebrate this special milestone as they prepare to graduate and move on to the next phase of their lives. The Baccalaureate includes student emcees, student performers, and guest speakers.

It’s an MHS tradition!

We are the only high school in the county which still participates in this time-honored tradition that, due to student involvement, often becomes a favored senior celebration.  We are very fortunate to have this event sponsored by the PTSA which assists in the planning, implementation, and funding.

We want your photos!

As per our Baccalaureate tradition, the evening will include a reminiscent slideshow. We encourage seniors and their parents/guardians to submit pictures for the slideshow. These can be old or recent pictures of yourself, your classmates, and any major events, especially of your high school years (no formal senior pictures, please).  Candid moments with friends are encouraged!

Please note: this slideshow is separate from the graduation ceremonial slideshow.

Email high quality photos in JPEG format to mhsptsabacc@gmail.com

Be sure to include your (senior’s) name in the Subject!

***WE NEED YOUR INPUT!***

We are trying to determine the best date to hold the ceremony, and we want your input. Options are Monday, May 20, and Sunday, May 26(tentatively 7pm for either).  A FOF with a survey link and more details will be forthcoming, or you can email your preference to the Baccalaureate committee.  Please respond to the survey by Feb 15.
