Why Be A PTSA Member?
Did you know?
- The MHS PTSA co-sponsors the annual Student Assembly which in the past has brought in guests like Milton Creagh and Rachel's Challenge.
- The MHS PTSA sponsors the Reflections Program, a State-Wide PTA Program that showcases student's work in the Fine Arts including photography, visual arts, literature, music composition, dance choreography, and film production.
- Every year the MHS PTSA works on programs that benefit not only staff and students but our community as well with presenters from Frederick County Sheriff’s Office, Frederick County Narcotics Task Force, Psychology Center, and more.
- We honor our hard working staff with the back-to-school breakfast and Teacher Appreciation week activities in the spring.
- The PTSA has a Community Service Scholarship Program open to Senior members assisting them in the purchase of educational materials after they leave MHS.
- The PTSA is the largest advocate for the educational needs of our students in Frederick County and the State of Maryland.
- None of this would be possible without the continued support of the MHS parent and community volunteers.
